How Blogging Is The Best Work From Home Income Opportunity

January 25th, 2008 by admin

One of the best work from home income opportunities today used to just be a hobby for many people. What I’m talking about, is blogging for profit, and in this article we will look at a few ways you can earn money by blogging at home.

One of the first ways to make money blogging is to start a blog of your own. They are very easy to setup and you can do so for free at Blogger.com or WordPress.com. You can monetize your blog by adding affiliate programs such as Google Adsense, Yahoo Marketing, and pay per lead or pay per sale programs.

Another thing you can do is join affiliate programs such as Clickbank.com or others and put links to their products in the various blog posts that you make. These blog articles are archived and can bring you future traffic and sales for years to come.

If you are willing to write on a consistent basis you can create a loyal following of readers, who then can be customers of yours. You can take this a step further and actually put an opt in e-mail marketing form on your website and capture customer contact information for future followed by email.

If you write reports or publish a newsletter online you can follow up with your customers and make sales via email marketing as well.

If you like to write, and our good at it, there are other bloggers who will pay you to blog for them. You can charge $10-$15 for every four to 600 word article that you write. These can be posted as one blog post or broken into a couple of smaller ones as well.

The Top Money Making Methods Widely Used By Bloggers

January 19th, 2008 by admin

I have noticed while browsing through the articles over on my blog that most of them don’t appear to be very friendly towards new bloggers.

You often find that the more experienced you become in a subject that it actually gets more difficult to write helpful articles for people that are new to it.

This is my first article to be aimed at people new to blogging and concentrates around the most popular methods in which one can make an income from their blog.

I’m sure you know that the web is crawling with advertisements but if you are relatively new to blogging or Internet marketing in general you may not know that the advertisement industry is a market that literally anyone can tap into and take a share of the profits.

Due to the sheer size of the web and the opportunities available a blogger is able to make money from his or her blog in many, many different ways no matter their skill or experience level. I am now going to introduce you to the most common means by which bloggers are currently making the most money….

Pay Per Click Ads

Pay Per Click ads are literally everywhere you look on the Internet and are probably the most popular and most effective way in which a blogger can cash in from their blog. As a PPC publisher by publishing the ads on your pages you gain the opportunity of earning revenue every time someone clicks one of your ads.

Google currently offers the largest, most successful Pay Per Click ad service. Unless this is the first time you have used the Internet I can say that you have at least came across an AdSense ad if not even clicked on one before. These are the self and same ads that you can publish on your own website or blog in order to make money.

There is one major factor in making money from PPC and that is targeted traffic. The big thing with current Pay Per Click ad programs is that the ads are contextually relevant to your websites content. Contextual ads are ads that are served to you website or page based upon its actual content. Since the ads are relative to the content this increases the chances of someone visiting your site actually clicking the ad since it is more likely to be displaying something interesting to them. For example if you have a blog about football and you are running context based ads on your site then the ads will be related to football While this works most of the time there are some situations in which the ads served on your page may not seem relevant to the content. This can be caused by a few things but two of the main causes are poor use of keywords in your content and the lack of advertisers in your niche if it is a very small one.

Widgets

Widgets are extremely popular and usually reside in a bloggers sidebar. There are constantly new services popping out from the virtual woodwork and throwing new widgets at people. Quite a new entry to the advertising widgets playing field is Widgetbucks. They are called Widgetbucks simply because they serve their ads in a widget. Other than this they are essentially the same thing as most other PPC programs. If you search around for other widgets you can use to monetize your blog you should have no problems finding some interesting ones.

Selling Services

If you can offer any form of service online then this can potentially hold massive profits. Maybe you are a professional writer or designer. Services like these can be incredibly profitable and your blog is a great place to advertise and sell them.

Selling Digital Products

Anything that you can offer through online distribution methods can be sold as a digital product. Fewer people are buying music, video games and software and are now opting to purchase them digitally. If you have the ability to create any form of digital product be it a video game, music track, sound effects, screen savers then you have the opportunity to market them through your blog or website.

The 10 Fundamental Principles Of Blogging

December 4th, 2007 by admin

After reading several blogs and several materials on blogging, monetizing your site, internet marketing etc., I’ve come to the conclusion that almost all bloggers agree on certain basic principles that each successful blogger has consciously or unconsciously followed throughout the years. Among the principles observed are as follows:

1.) Blog on your passions - Write on something that you are passionate about. Something that you have somewhat achieved a level of expertise in, something that puts you on fire, something that makes your eyes wide open when discussed about, something that awes and amazes you and opens your mouth wide open.

2.) Blog for people - Although search engine optimization is something that should be seriously considered by all bloggers, it should not take precedence over people. Blogs should not be all about keywords, tags or any other gimmick out there in order to make sure that we all each get a higher search engine. What is important that people keep coming back to your site because your post actually helps them or is relevant to them. I believe it was legendary marketer John Chow who said “People First before Google.”

3.) Blog frequently - The length of the post is not as important as it’s frequency. Posts may be long or short depending on the topic covered. What is important about the blog is that the blogger frequently updates his blogs.

4.) Just blog - If you are a new blogger, don’t worry about your site statistics or that you still do not have comments on your site. Just blog away ! It takes a while for search engines to index your site. Also if you write good posts and you are blogging for people the traffic will just flow.

5.) Learn more about blogging - Bloggers should not stop learning about how to be more effective in their craft. Learn more about topics on how to be effective on your blogging, about search engine optimization, etc. The moment you stop learning, you stop to blog.

6.) Bloggers are readers - Personally I believe that there is nothing to blog about if you do not read about your passions. You must have an insatiable thirst for learning and a passion to communicate what you have learned to your readers.

7.) Blog with a schedule - This is something that I have not read but something I am personally trying to implement. I believe having a blogging schedule will force you to think of something to blog about. This may not work for others as they just blog whatever comes into their mind. Being a structured person, I work best when I submit myself to a structured way of doing things. Using a blog schedule will also ensure that I have balanced the number of articles on the categories that I wish to blog.

The following is My Blogging schedule which I plan to implement:

Sunday - Theology / Life (Anything about)
Monday - Technology including Word press tips
Tuesday - Financial Management
Wednesday - Law, Law Practice, law students
Thursday - Financial Management / Technology
Friday - Leadership/entrepreneurship/ business
Saturday - Life (Anything about)

8.) Personalize your blog - When readers read your post they must feel that it is as if you are personally talking to them. Don’t use highfalutin words nor should you be too scholarly that your readers will have to look into a dictionary before they could even understand what you are saying. Talk to them in layman’s term as much as possible, no matter how technical the subject is. Inject some humor if you like.

9.) Aim for excellence in your blog - Edit your posts, review your presentation and layout. Make sure it is user friendly and not an eye sore. The principle of excellence very much well applies when it comes to blogging.

10.) Blog for life - Don’t view blogging as something that you are temporarily doing just because you don’t have anything to do as of now or something which you do in order to achieve a certain amount of money and afterwards you will then stop blogging since you have already achieved your goal. Plan to blog for life. Blogging may bring you monetary “blessings.” However always consider that such is only secondary. As you go about your day to day experience, having an attitude of blogging for life will make you further appreciate such experiences since you will looking forward to writing it to on your next posts.
